FREE! Cloud computing for your miniCURE offering during the 2026-2027 academic year will also be covered.
In this FREE workshop series we will teach new instructors, committed to teaching a full or partial C-MOOR miniCURE in the upcoming academic year, the ins and outs of our flagship RNA-seq miniCURE and new 16S Human Gut Microbiome miniCURE. Cloud computing for participants’ C-MOOR offerings through the end of 2027 will be covered by C-MOOR.
Independent research groups that are not a part of an official class are OK!
Participants with no prior experience in genomic research and/or R coding are especially welcome.
Do I need to have a background in cloud platforms, coding, or genomic research?
No prior experience in any of these domains is necessary, and we are especially interested in instructors who do not have a strong background in these fields.
Do I need to attend all the sessions?
Attendees are expected to attend all relevant modules.
Do I need to teach both a 16S and RNA-seq miniCURE?
No, an offering includes only one of these curricula, though you are welcome to use both. For new instructors we recommend trying only one to begin.
What about the BioDIGS miniCURE or Microbial Mysteries CURE?
These workshops focus on the 16S and RNA-seq miniCURES. Instructors who are interested in other curricula should use the I Want to Teach! form, which is open year around and curricula agnostic.
I want to teach one of these miniCUREs, but I can't make the workshop.
Please fill out the I Want to Teach! form to get in contact with someone from our team
What does it cost?
The workshop is free to attend. There are no fees.
How will I pay for my class’ cloud computing costs?
C-MOOR will cover your class’ cloud computing costs during your miniCURE offerings in the following academic year and beyond so long as funds remain.
What if I need help after the workshop while I’m teaching?
We are happy to continue to provide assistance during the academic year.
What if I have a question that isn’t listed here?
Please reach out to Sayumi York at syork@ndm.edu with further questions.
